The Hot and new Maxi Discs label kicks off its adventures into Tropical Disco madness with a killer first release by Marius Vaareid. Together with his buddy Jarle Brathen, Marius is part of Ytre Rymden Dansskola who have released on Prins Thomas’s Full Pupp label in the past. Hailing from Norway, Marius is also part of the thriving nu breed of Norwegian producers influenced by Todd Terje, Lindstrom and Prins Thomas. The track ‘Disco Drummer’ comes with 2 quality remixed versions from Pete Herbert & Dicky Trisco, and it’s being played out by all the good guys (Faze Action, Unabombers, Mark E, and The Revenge) But my vote goes out to the original version by Marius himself, you just need this one… timeless!
