Of course it’s all about the Burial mix - and it is just UTTERLY sick. Perfectly timed to appendix this week’s seemingly unstoppable euphoria surrounding the release of “Untrue”, Burial reconstructs “Where is Home” into a deeply soulful hybrid of 2-step reductions, trademark woodblock rhythms, treated vocals and a lilting piano motif that’s the most innocent, enveloping melody he has made use of to date. Although all the familiar elements are there, it somehow has a much more open feel than anything on “Untrue”, a momentary let-up in Burial’s relentless midnight narcosis, and an absolutely essential addendum to one of this year’s best albums.
