比起Kraftwerk的广为人知有点商业化的的名曲“Tour De France”“Trans-Europe Express”，我更喜欢“Man Machine”“Radio-Activity”这类更具概念化的纯粹电子乐。我看过Kraftwerk近几年（成员已变更）对这些曲目重新演绎的现场视频，对“Radio-Activity”开场部分蹦出的生硬的“Serafield–Hiroshima”印象深刻。Kraftwerk的音乐Video具有强烈的德国平面设计色彩，包括“Tour De France”，也有真人演绎的，比如“Autobahn”和“Das Model / The Model”之类，但是很有四五十年代老电影风格，不知道影像是不是从老电影剪辑出来的。

这张1978年的专辑《The Man Machine》唱片封面的构图取自俄国结构主义大师El Lissitzky强硬的对角斜纹布局，它棱角分明的线条正符合Kraftwerk想表现的机器、动力等意想，乐队成员身着大红色的衬衫和漆黑色的领带，极富挑战性。这时，Kraftwerk的成员甚至公开地称自己为机器人，开篇曲“We Are the Robots”更巩固了这个形象。“The Model”则旋律优美、典雅浪漫。这张专辑使Kraftwerk达到了音乐事业的顶峰。

德国电子乐始祖兼电子乐大师Kraftwerk的早期作品，虽然早期，依然被认为是Kraftwerk最成熟完美的作品之一，《Autobahn》确立了独特的Kraftwerk之声。
这张专辑亦是乐队在美国发行的第一张专辑，获得了巨大成功，这支先前在美国不为人知的乐队冲上了流行音乐专辑排行榜且居高不下。从这张专辑开始，Kraftwerk从Krautrock蜕变到了纯电子音乐领域，并成功地闯入流行音乐界，使电子音乐在主流音乐中找到了永久的立足点。
个人觉得Kraftwerk的音乐是名副其实的“电音”。感兴趣的怀旧一下。
