amazing tune, awful quality
run it through platinum notes (should still be available here to d/l) which should tweak it a bit. i also ran the file through soundforge to normalize everything (i always do that when i record vinyl and my mixes; even people get their tracks mastered professiionally ask what i do to the audio). works great for audio files that don't sound too great (soundforge even has the option to fix pops and cracks from vinyl).
thanks dude, i use adobe audition and sometimes ableton for masterizing... by the way, i want to post "enrolada" well mastered but i it says "You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page".

any help?

it actually enhances low quality audio. listen to the original and new versions (it doesn't destroy the old version but creates a new one).
yes you are right, but if you take a 190VBR MP3, run it though platinum notes, and save it as a new file - essentially what you have done is taken a highly compressed audio file, eq'd it, and then compressed it once again.

190VBR MP3 + platinum notes does not make higher quality audio.

it simply re-encodes your already encoded mp3. hence its really only useful on lossless audio files.

test it out! bring your twice-encoded MP3 and the same record to your next gig. play them loudly and you will see that your 190VBR MP3 that you ran through platinum notes sounds like crap.
i refrain from playing anything that's already 256, 320 or in wav file, which means i don't always tweak 'em, but even some of those benefit from platinum notes & soundforge.
